Introducción / Introducing

Tengo 26 años y soy arquitecta egresada de la Universidad de Guadalajara. Originaria de Sayula, pequeña población ubicada al sur del estado de Jalisco. Se encuentra casi a la mitad entre la ciudad de Guadalajara, capital del estado de Jalisco, y la ciudad de Colima, capital del estado con el mismo nombre, Colima. Sayula es una pequeña ciudad, cabecera municipal, cuyo nombre significa "lugar de moscas". Llamada la "Ciudad de los portales" ya que alrededor del jardin municipal y parte del mercado esta rodeado de portales, el hogar del famoso escritor Juan Rulfo, autor de "El llano en llamas", se elaboran cajetas de leche de vaca, cuchillos y azulejos. Como comidas tipicas tenemos la birria, el tatemado y sopitos.

Tenemos muchos mitos y leyendas, la mas famosa El anima de Sayula, existen unos versos sobre ella. El grado mas alto de educación es la preparatoria, para la universidad se deben desplazar a Cd. Guzman o Guadalajara. Hay fiestas en diversas epocas del año, por el mes de febrero se celebra el Carnaval, y las fistas de la Candelaria. En mayo son las fiestas patronales a la Inmaculada Concepción. En octubre las fiestas de San Lucas. Y en diciembre las fiestas del Santuario a la Virgen de Guadalupe que son las mas populares en todo el pueblo. Los sabados hay tianguis, donde se puede comprar frutas y verduras para la semana, un poco mas economicas que en el mercado. Tenemos tambien un mercado municipal abierto de lunes a domingo. Hay parques y plazas. Dos unidades deportivas. Tiene un clima muy agradable, es calido en verano y no tan frio en invierno. A las faldas de la sierra de Tapalpa pueden encontrar mi pintoresco pueblo/ciudad, con las puertas siempre abiertas a los visitantes.

 I'm 26 years old and I'm architect graduate of the UdeG. Im from Sayula, small town at south of the state of Jalisco. Sayula is almost in the midle of the way between Guadalajara, the chapital of the state and the city of Colima, chapital of the state of Colima. Is a small city, head of the municipality, her name means "place of flies". The called "City of portals" because the blocks around the principal garden and the market they are porlals, is also the home of Juan Rufo, the author of "Fields on fire", they make also cajetas, knifes and tiles. As typical food we have birria and tatemado and sopitos.

We have myths and legends, the most popular is "The spirit of Sayula" even exist some verses about. About education there are just until High School, and for University you have to go abroad, to Ciudad Guzman or little bit far Guadalajara. There are some celebrations during the year, the carnival in february more or less, and the celebration of the Candelaria. In may celebrate the Inamculate Conception, town's patron. In october the celebration of Saint Lucas. And on december the Santuary parties, to our Lady of Guadalupe, the most popular in all the town. On saturdays we have a flea markes, we buy fruits and vegetables cheaper than in the market. And also we have the municipal market open monday to sunday. There are parks and squares. Two small sport complex. We have a very nice weather, hot in summer, and not so cold on winter. At the foothills of the forest of Tapalpa you can find my very picturesque town/city, always with the door open to any tourist.
